Surgery

My Mohs surgery is tomorrow. I am very nervous about it because last time there were complications. I am trying to stay possitive but it is hard.

It's normal to be nervous before surgery. You have to believe everything will go better this time and know that your doing this for things to get better. Before your surgery try to take your mind of off it as much as you can. Maybe watch a comedy to make you laugh. Good luck! I hope everything goes well.

I hope your surgery went well today. I am also having Moh's surgery tomorrow 9/27 so I understand your anxiety as I feel it too. This will be my 4th Moh's surgery...the 2nd time on my nose. And I already know I have to go back for a 5th surgery for a spot on my forehead. I've learned to take the surgeries as they come in order to not be overwhelmed by the whole idea of facial surgery.

Good luck and I hope you had a positive outcome. You're in my thoughts!

The surgery went well. The area was smaller than last time so they were able to stitch it up instead of leaving it open like last time. The proximity to the last surgery and the scar tissue did make it a little more difficult to stitch up than if it had not been near it. The complication that happened last time was due to it being an open creator instead of being stitched up so that can't happen this time. Also the doctor has me on antibiotics since scalp surgeries can more easily become infected since it is almost impossible to keep a bandage on the area.

Thank you for your support. It means a lot.
