Friends different ways of dealing with and subsiding stress and anxiety

Posted in Group:

I went out last night to a nice event with friends and met new people there. We got into a group discussion about the level of stress that we all endure, which leads most of us to anxiety. I asked everyone how they deal with stress on a daily basis and what they do to combat it. Here are some of the ways that I wanted to share with you;

- spend one day per week [at least] away from all technology; phone, computer, etc. (this one's my favorite)

- take a long walk somewhere breathtakingly beautiful; along the beach, waterfront, park, etc.

- listen to happy music whether working or relaxing

- getting out with friends, whether to brunch, lunch, dinner, etc...just relaxing and enjoying one another's company with no rush to be anywhere

- go out dancing with friends and get lost in the music

- take it one project and one step at a time rather than overwhelming yourself with everything at once

- take small day trips out of town; out and away from everything

- long hot bath with soft music and candles lit

Puppy,

Thanks for posting the list... I will use this in my daily life. I think I want to start with the one day a week away from tech, like you said its one of my favorite things, but sometimes I think I get too involved in it and it overwhelms me.
